BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) was held at Ambience Mall Gurgaon on 24th , 25th and 26th of June. About 3,000 gamers gathered in a hall at the venue all with one purpose… a chance at gaming glory, bragging rights and '5 lakh worth of prizes'. The event saw gamers set in opposition at the following: Counter Strike 1.6 (undoubtedly the favourite,) DotA, COD4, FIFA, NFS and Tekken 6.

Many have set up camp at the mall itself, with excellent management on the organisers’ end, and adequate facilities. Most are already seasoned veterans, and some are still rookies when it comes to the art of fragging. But one thing’s certain… all of them have an intense ardour for videogames. And they intend to keep it that way.

The flaunt value of one’s monster rig is effectively showcased here considering the unique concept on the PC front at BYOC is the fact that gamers are supposed to carry their own gear or rent a PC from the organisers. It’s evidently a very engaging experience with your own rig and the epinephrine rush is very rewarding indeed, or so say the gamers in action.
